The Foundation of Starblue Consultancy
The foundation of Starblue Consultancy is rooted in my deep passion for the Thoroughbred industry and a vision to enhance the racehorse ownership experience. Over the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in the racing world, studying its global dynamics, and learning from some of the most respected industry professionals.
This journey led me to realise that, with the right support and expertise, many racehorse owners can avoid costly pitfalls and enjoy a far more rewarding and successful ownership experience.
As my own involvement in the industry grew, I saw a clear need for a consultancy that would offer not just advice but a comprehensive, hands-on approach to racehorse ownership. I wanted to create a service that provides world-class customer care, expert guidance, and personalised strategies, ensuring that every client feels supported, informed, and confident in their decisions.
This vision led to the creation of Starblue Consultancy, where our primary focus is on enhancing the racehorse ownership experience while helping investors achieve meaningful returns on their investments.
Our Approach
Our philosophy is simple: we guide our clients through every step of the process, from selecting the right horse to maximising its long-term success both on and off the track.
In a short period of time, our approach has already produced outstanding results. Horses selected through our program have won at metropolitan and Group level and have competed in some of the most prestigious races in the country.
These results highlight the strength of our partnerships with leading trainers and industry experts, as well as our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional opportunities for our clients.
A Strategy Built on Collaboration
Our unique strategy is built on strong collaboration between trainers and trusted third-party providers, creating a comprehensive and effective horse selection and development process.
This collaborative model continues to deliver outstanding results on the track and has proven to be a key driver behind the success of our program.
We are especially proud of what has been achieved through this approach. From the 2024 draft, we identified multiple Group-performed horses, including Group 2-winning filly Salty Pearl, now the top-performing progeny of Tagaloa. On Cox Plate Day 2025, she delivered a major milestone for the team by winning the Group 2 Fillies Classic, a tremendous achievement for everyone involved and a proud moment for Starblue Consultancy.
Her performances have been exceptional. After just 11 starts, she had already earned nearly 8 times her purchase price, highlighting her outstanding value and quality. Her record includes:
2nd in the $250,000 VOBIS Gold Rush (rated 91.6)
3rd in the G3 David Coles Stakes
1st in the 2YO Caulfield Handicap
3rd in the Listed Atlantic Jewel (rated 92.5)
3rd in the G2 Thousand Guineas Prelude, just 0.08L from the winner
4th in the G1 Thousand Guineas 2025 (rated 93)
1st in the G2 Fillies Classic on Cox Plate Day 2025
3rd in the G3 Manfred Stakes
2nd in the G2 Armanasco Stakes (rated 94.5)
3rd in the G2 Kewney Stakes

Alongside her, Oyster Lane, another standout from the same draft, has demonstrated enormous potential. He recorded a 93.1 rating on debut, the second-highest rating for any two-year-old in the 2024/25 season when finishing a close second at Caulfield. He followed up with another impressive second at Flemington, finishing just 0.15 lengths behind last season’s top-rated two-year-old Shining Smile, before adding another placing at Moonee Valley. While he is yet to win, he has already demonstrated the profile of a horse capable of competing at the highest level.
From our 2025 draft, several two-year-olds have already made it to the track and shown exciting potential.
Seraphox made his debut in the Group 2 Todman Stakes, the key lead-up race to the Golden Slipper, producing a very encouraging performance despite having only one trial before the race in a strong field. He looks set to compete in high-level races moving forward.
We also saw Cliff Runner make his debut in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in South Australia, where he produced an outstanding run to finish second on debut, a performance full of promise for the future.
Looking Ahead
